Michigan Modular Homes
Modular home industry has gained its popularity in most parts of Michigan especially in places like Grand Rapids, Detroit, Flint, Warren, Westland, Sterling Heights, Dearborn, Lansing, Livonia as well as Ann Arbor.
People are starting to have some enthusiasm about modular market. They became aware of all the advantages a modular home can give. Since most of the building process takes place in the factory, and most machinery used is usually high-tech, the qualities of the materials are consistent. It would only take a couple of months before the buyer can occupy his new lair since 85-90 percent has already been built in the factory. Aside from the fact that it is not time-consuming, interested buyers can choose from the wide variety of styles, designs offered by the modular building company. The designs can be flexible and would definitely suit the owner-to-be’s preference. Although there had been myths roaming around with regards to the maintenance of a modular home, most owners (locals of Michigan) of modular homes had proved to be less costly when it comes to maintaining a strong and healthy dwelling.
Last July 12, 2007, there had been a demonstration at North End Village in Detroit to show the locals how a modular home can be easily built. They also want to let them understand how modular homes can be an affordable type of dwelling and how it would improve one’s housing stock and community. There are actually two projects to be built. The first one measures 1,800 square foot. It is a two-story house with three bedrooms and two bathing rooms. It took the builders two to three hours before the whole house was built. The second project measures 1,900 square foot. It is a ranch type with two bathing rooms and three bedrooms, assembled in a similar manner with the first built modular home. These homes are not fully furnished yet. In the following thirty or at least forty-five days, the front porches, roof shingling, garage, utility hookups, siding and carpentry will hopefully be completed.
Although there had been quite a lot of modular homes lately in Michigan, there are still empty lots lying around the state, specifically in Detroit. These areas are now part of the so-called “Next Detroit Neighborhood Initiative”, whereas the empty vicinity will be transformed into an active neighborhood for the citizens of Michigan.
The areas of Detroit which will undergo the said renovation project includes Grand River-Greenfield, North End, Bagley, Brightmoor, Osborn, and East English Village.
